Availability here is steady rather than high-volume. A family friendly large breed is a considered purchase, and we would rather answer questions properly than hurry a placement.
Winter and summer, both real
mild tropical plateau. Unlike much of the country, Uri gets a genuine winter, and a large dog feels the January nights. comfortable temperatures for most of the year make routine care straightforward A Boxer Puppy needs bedding off the floor in the cold months and shade and water through the hot ones - two different problems in one year.
Grooming and seasonal coat care
Check ears and paws after walks through the green belt - grass seeds and ticks are the two common finds, and both are trivial caught early. For a large dog this takes a couple of minutes and prevents most of what we get asked about.
Exercise and the green belt
Off-lead time should wait until recall is genuinely reliable, however open the ground looks. A family friendly Boxer Puppy that returns when called can use this city properly; one that does not will spend 10-12 Years on a lead.
Health documentation
You should expect to see original records, dated and signed by the attending vet. For a large dog we also note the expected adult size, since a size category on its own tells you very little about the Boxer Puppy in front of you.
Price and what sits behind it
A Boxer Puppy starts from ₹15,000 here. The figure reflects lineage, age at handover and the health work already completed. We are happy to explain any of those rather than simply quote a number.

Raising a Boxer in Uri: local climate
The city sits at about 1,302 m above sea level, so it runs cooler than the plains around it.
Summer here peaks in June at about 33°C. That is manageable for a Boxer, but watch it closely because its short muzzle makes panting less effective at shedding heat and a large body sheds heat slowly: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winter nights fall to about 0°C in January. A Boxer feels that: bedding raised off the floor, a sweater or warm cover at night, and a room kept out of the draught.
There is no long rainy season; what rain there is falls mostly in July.
For a new Boxer puppy, the easiest months to arrive are May and September: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 12 | 14 | 19 | 25 | 31 | 33 | 31 | 29 | 28 | 25 | 20 | 15 |
| Low °C | 0 | 2 | 7 | 12 | 17 | 21 | 21 | 20 | 17 | 11 | 6 | 2 |
| Rain mm | 53 | 97 | 92 | 82 | 52 | 80 | 147 | 134 | 63 | 26 | 27 | 30 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.
